show Abstracthide AbstractThe interaction with host cells is crucial in the pathogenesis of S. suis. In order to elucidate the mechanism of pathogenicity increase of S. suis epidemic ST7 strain, we compared the genome-wide transcriptional profile of S. suis epidemic ST7 strain SC84 to those of S. suis highly pathogenic ST1 strain P1/7 and S. suis intermediately pathogenic ST25 strain 89-1591 at 2h and 4h post interaction with BV2 cells. Our study deepened the understanding of the pathogenesis of epidemic ST7 strains, meanwhile provided novel approach and valuable information to control the infection of epidemic ST7 strains.
